R.A.C. MEETING MINUTES 9/25/18
RAC Meeting September 25, 2018 Minutes
Alaine Carrera called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Committee Members Present: Alaine Carrera, Dolores Costoso, Tim Mosher, Sue Senna and Bill Bertaccini. The two new members of the RAC Committee were introduced, Dee Costoso and Bill Bertaccini.
Minutes from the Quarterly Meeting on August 29, 2018 with Keith Stevens and Cindy King were reviewed. The Minutes for this meeting were posted at Activity Center and Clubhouse.
• Drainage problem at the Mulrennan gate: Management is currently under contract with an engineering firm and is awaiting their evaluation.
• Horseshoe Pits: This issue has been brought to management many times. They are willing to build a pit near the Activity Center. RAC needs to appoint a committee to work with management on this issue. At this time no one has accepted.
• TECO road repair: Management sent out a notice that this was being done last week. RAC will continue to monitor this.
• Carpeting in the ping pong room: This is being reviewed by RAC and management
NEW ISSUES:
- The latch on the main gate to the outdoor pool: Handicapped residents in wheelchairs cannot reach the latch. It is too high. Florida law states, that the latches on pool gates have to be 48” to 60” high with a locking mechanism.
Comments / New issues from residents: Tim Mosher reported there are 192 lights out. There was a discussion on who is responsible for repair and replacement of the light bulbs. Sue Ambrose explained to the residents that Management is responsible for replacing the globe and ballast at $35.00. The cost of replacing the sensor was $12.95. Don suggested we have licensed electricians in the park. Why doesn’t Management hire them to repair and place censers on the lamp post? Residents don’t want to pay for the replacement of globes and sensors.
• Driveways are in need of repair. Management will only fix six driveways a year. Why only six a year? Residents need to go to the office, to be placed on the list.
• Street lights: some street lights are being covered by trees. This is blocking the lights making streets dark. RAC will look into this. We need specific addresses to address this issue.
• Some houses need to trim back their hedges. This is causing a safety hazard. Again specific addresses are needed. Cars cannot see around the corners. Also, it is not very appealing to look at. Some houses look a mess. •
