R.A.C. MEETING MINUTES - August 27, 2019
Welcome and Meeting Rules. Thanked Mahjong group for letting us use the room on a one-time basis
Members present: Mary Kendall, Vicky Vilchez, Celeste DiVito, Tim Mosher, and Bill Bertaccini, HOA Liaison Terry Brown. Members absent: none
Called to order at 7 PM
Minutes from (previous meeting) not read. Since we were at capacity for building, residents stood outside to be part of the meeting. Over 80 residents present.
Update on Issues Discussed with Manager 8/22/19:
a) Gates: Residents want more secure gates
b) Outdoor Pool Closed by Environmental Services due to NO chlorine in pool 8/26/19
c) Standing water on Whistle Stop
d) Are we in fact a 55 plus community: Yes
e) Concerns by many residents that the park is no longer being managed well. Examples given:
A. Storm drains clogged
B. House belonging to SR not locked “boys
living in it” 123 Strawberry Jct.
C. the kids living on Strawberry Jct reported to Keith several times. Street so bad it floods. Keith refused to deal with it.
D. Resident reported child living 7 years on Strawberry Jct. still there.
E. Neighbor mows lawn sometime at 123 Strawberry Jct.
F. what is maintenance in charge of? Certifications
G.Towing a BIG issue. Resident said car towed out of driveway. One car towed because tire on grass. Hospice nurse worried about car being towed on overnight calls.
H. Lake Taho needs treatment.
I. Wrist bands not effective. Non-residents seem to have a supply of them and hand them out to friends!
J. Lots of residents wondering where our money goes.
K. Safety was a huge concern for residents. Some stated they no longer feel safe.
Strangers sleeping in fitness center. Strangers
squatting in SR homes
