RESIDENT ADVISORY COUNCIL (RAC) MINUTES FROM 12/18/18 MEETING
Alaine Carrera, Chairperson called the meeting to order at 7:00pm
Committee Members Present: Dee Costoso, Tim Mosher, Bill Bertaccini
Committee Member Absent: Carol Cavanaugh
Minutes from quarterly meeting on 12/5/18 were discussed.
Status reports were on the following issues:
Aerobic room chairs: Management will discuss issue with Dale.
Repair pool deck: Completed
Pool gate access at the Activities Center: Meets Florida Code
Pickle Ball Courts Repair: Waiting to be Scheduled
Ping-Pong Room: Management will install solid surface flooring, waiting to be scheduled.
Issues Discussed:
The Repair of the fence in Storage/RV: Was repaired, but residents feel more repairs are need. The fence is old and top poles are not attached to hold up the fence in some places.
Plumbing Repair: Residents don’t want maintenance to do plumbing assessments in the community. Residents are being misinformed which end up costing the residents thousands of dollars? Maintenance is telling residents “it is your responsibility”, when in actuality it is not.
Sewer pipes on Pioneer: Resident commented the pipes on the mainline are crumbling. The Red Cape Co. is going to discuss the issue with Management.
Lift station: Management is working with the County, and has a protocol to follow. Contact office should a situation arise.
Large breed dogs: If service dogs, they should be wearing a vest. Management cannot enforce this, but can request they be worn. Certificates are on file.
Census: Management will not conduct a census.
Reminder: Any issues or complaints must be in writing or email to management first. Please give specific details, i.e. pictures, addresses, etc. if possible. All information is kept confidential.
