R.A.C. MEETING MINUTES
Strawberry Ridge Resident Advisory Council
February 24, 2021
Welcome and Meeting Rules:
Mary Kendall called the meeting (via Zoom) to order at 7PM. Meeting rules were reviewed:
Please turn off cell phones.
If someone is speaking, please do not interrupt them and let them finish. Everyone has a right to their opinion.
If there is a disagreement and it continues, Mary can mute any one of us.
Members Present:
Mary Kendall, Celeste DiVito, Carol Cavanaugh, Jean DiBeneditto (Board Liaison).
Members Absent:
None
Old Business:
Bathrooms in Clubhouse and AC: 2/24/21 interior of Clubhouse is on the schedule for this year
Replacement sliding door have been on back order and should arrive soon
These are on the schedule and will be painted as soon as time permits.
Face Mask signs:
Signs have been put back up in all the buildings.
Blinds in AC and Fitness Center:
This has been put on the capital improvement list.
Cement lifting at Outdoor Pool near the Fitness Center:
Keith is looking into this issue.
Cabinet door in AC:
Keith said the whole cabinet needs to be replaced.
Pump Station on Choo Choo:
After the heavy rain, there was a complaint of a smell. Mary looked around the lift station and the area was dry, however to the right, there is a standing pool of water with rotting leaves, etc.
Keith said after a heavy rain, there will be a sewage type smell until the lift station is empty.
RAC Form submitted about the yard that has been a mess for over a year at Taho Circle:
Keith talked to the homeowner and there had been some improvement from the week before. Keith told him he will be looking at the yard weekly.
Second Covid Vaccines:
These will be administered on Thursday, March 4th, at the Clubhouse to anyone who got their first vaccine here. Everyone should follow the same schedule as last time.
Some residents received their first vaccine somewhere else and asked if they could get their second vaccine here. Mary said to have them check wherever they received their first shot first. If that particular site has been shut down, and it has been 21 days since their first shot, they can come to the clubhouse and negotiate to see if there any vaccines available.
New Business:
Squirrels in the Clubhouse:
Celeste said there have been a few squirrels in the clubhouse due to people leaving the sliding glass doors open in the pool area. Mary will make sure Keith is aware of the situation. 2/24/21 Victor is working on it
Potholes on the corner of Meteor and Casey Jones:
Keith has bids out to fill in the potholes2/25/21 being worked on today
Railroad ties in yard on Strawberry Junction Lane:
Celeste will ask Keith about this issue.
House on Choo Choo
Possible short term rental . will discuss with Keith
SRHA Board Election on March 6th:
Mary reminded everyone to turn in their Proxy form for the SRHA Board Elections as soon as possible. You can actually just reply to the email stating “this is my proxy”.
